From Library Journal
Moon Passage is a provoking and satisfying book, beautifully crafted and polished. Anne Ellis is visited by the impulsive Ellen, a student and former lover of Anne's estranged husband, Jay. Anne has remained the "still center" of Jay's life, and Ellen is curious about that bond. Anne is interested in her own relationship with pain, and is strong enough to allow the intrusion. Eventually she can not only tolerate her guest, but can share her strength with the younger woman. LeCompte's writing is consistently fine, as it must be to support the serenely centered Anne. Literally and figuratively set in M.F.K. Fisher country, this book's descriptive passages are sensory tributes to the notion of home. The resolution of the women's succeeding tropisms is equally rewarding. For every fiction collection.
